I myself wouldn't do it even though I'm really fond of informal English. What I mean is that in some cases students ought to be made aware of the fact that in these or those circumstances native speakers don't speak like that. And by saying "made aware" I don't mean setting aside a whole lesson but simply pointing out. That is what I do in my private lessons.
Mmm! You've taught for 15 years? It's really nice to have a conversation with such an experienced teacher.

Have you read "Standardy egzaminacyjne"? I don't think it is going to be of any importance if the student uses formal or informal English.
