Organisation: It is highly important to organize your writing into separate paragraphs, each of them containing one certain idea or a chain of ideas tightly connected with each other. That makes your writing coherent and easy to follow.
Range of vocabulary: It is essential to use as wide range of vocabulary as possible to amaze your examiner and to make a positive effect upon them.
Register: Should be consistent! If you started your article in a informal way, you SHOULD keep that style until the end! Remember that reports and discursive essays usually require formal language.
Structures: A variety of linking devices and grammar structures should be put into your writing. Use, whenever possible: conditionals, reported speech, emphatic structures etc.
